Disability Assessment Role
We seek a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to conduct medical assessments on United States Veterans within the VA's disability benefits process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review electronic medical records through a web portal and perform in-person physical exams on each Veteran.
- Document exam findings electronically using the web portal.
Important Notes:
- The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant does not make disability determinations; this is the responsibility of the United States Veterans Administration.
- This role only performs Disability Assessments on Veterans, without treating or prescribing medication.
Work Environment:
This is an in-person position with a schedule of 1 day per week (8am-4pm).
Requirements:
- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license (NCCPA accredited).
- Meet credentialing requirements set forth by the VA.
