Medical Assessment Role for Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants
We are seeking a skilled healthcare professional to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
Job Description
In this role, you will review electronic medical records and conduct in-person physical exams on each Veteran.
You will document exam findings electronically through a web portal, but you will not make disability determinations. The United States Veterans Administration is responsible for all disability determinations.
This position involves performing Disability Assessments on 3-5 Veterans per day, with a schedule of one day per week (8am-4pm).
Please note that this is an in-person position, and you will not be treating patients or prescribing medication.
Key Attributes
- Able to analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions.
- Skilled in time management, able to stay on task and meet requirements.
- Current and unrestricted NP or PA license.
- Proficient computer user.
Requirements
- Holds current, unrestricted NP or PA (NCCPA accredited) license.
- Meets VA credentialing requirements.
