Medical Assessment Role for United States Veterans
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
Key Responsibilities
- Review medical records electronically through a web portal
- Perform focused, in-person physical exams on each Veteran
- Electronically document exam findings required by the VA through the web portal
The successful candidate will not make disability determinations, as this is the responsibility of the United States Veterans Administration. The role performs Disability Assessments only and does not involve treating patients or prescribing medication.
Schedule and Work Environment
This is an in-person position with a set schedule of 2 days per week (8am-5pm). Each day, the successful candidate will work with 3 to 5 patients.
Requirements
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
- Proficiency in using a computer
- Credentialing requirements meet those set forth by the VA
