Work can be performed by a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to conduct medical evaluations on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
In performing Disability Assessments, you will review electronic medical records through our secure web portal and conduct a focused in-person physical examination on each Veteran.
You will document exam findings electronically through the web portal.
This role is specifically designed for conducting Disability Assessments on Veterans only. You will not provide treatment or prescribe medication.
This position typically involves evaluating 3-5 Veterans per day.
Schedule: 2 days/week (8am-5pm)
This is an in-person position that requires regular interaction with Veterans.
Key Attributes:
- Interest in performing independent medical assessments.
- Able to analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions.
- Skilled in time management and able to meet requirements.
- Must hold a current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
- Proficient computer user.
Requirements:
- Must hold a current, unrestricted NP or PA (NCCPA accredited) license.
- Meets credentialing requirements set forth by the VA.
