What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physiatrist Medical Assessment Specialist position at MRG Exams?
Independent Medical Assessment Opportunity
MRG Exams, a leading provider of medical assessments, is seeking an experienced Physiatrist to conduct independent medical evaluations for United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
The successful candidate will review medical health records through a secure web portal and perform comprehensive assessments on each veteran. A key aspect of this role is completing Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs) through the web portal, documenting exam findings required by the VA.
This position does not involve making disability determinations, as those are made by the VA. It is an independent assessment role, requiring the ability to analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete DBQs and form medical opinions.
The ideal candidate will have excellent typing skills and strong time management and task completion skills, with the ability to travel at least 2 days per week around North Dakota, with additional opportunities for Telehealth services.
On average, this role involves reviewing and assessing 4 veterans per day. The candidate will be expected to review medical health records thoroughly and accurately complete DBQs within the given timeframe.
