Job Title: Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician
Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated PM&R physician to conduct medical assessments for veterans. This role involves reviewing medical records, conducting in-depth evaluations, and completing VA-provided Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through a secure online portal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze veterans' medical records through a secure web portal to ensure comprehensive understanding of their health conditions.
- Conduct thorough, non-treating assessments of veterans to document current health status, utilizing effective communication skills to gather relevant information.
- Complete and submit DBQs based on VA-specific templates to capture all relevant medical findings, adhering to established guidelines and protocols.
- Assess up to four veterans daily, maintaining a high level of productivity while ensuring quality and accuracy in medical evaluations.
Schedule and Requirements:
Minimum 2 days/week travel around ND, additional telehealth days available. We require motivated individuals who are comfortable with digital documentation and record review, possess strong typing skills, and have excellent attention to detail.
Requirements:
- Motivated to perform independent medical assessments in a non-treating, investigative role, demonstrating a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Proficient in analyzing and synthesizing data from comprehensive medical records and physical assessments, with a focus on identifying key health factors.
- Skilled in managing time effectively, completing tasks within deadlines, and maintaining a focus on quality, with a strong sense of accountability.
- Dedicated to serving veterans and making a positive impact in their lives, with a genuine passion for contributing to their well-being.
- Active MD or DO license with a specialization in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), preferably with board certification in Neurological Surgery, PM&R, or Psychiatry and Neurology.
Compensation Package:
$150,000 - $200,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
