Job Overview
This role involves performing medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. The psychologist will review behavioral health records electronically through a secure web portal and conduct comprehensive assessments in person for each Veteran.
The focus of this position is to complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through the web portal. It is essential to note that the Veterans Administration makes all disability determinations, using the findings recorded in the DBQs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough medical assessments on United States Veterans.
- Review electronic behavioral health records securely through a web portal.
- Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) via the web portal.
A caseload of approximately 4 assessments per day is expected. As an independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to choose your own schedule while working two days a week.
Requirements
To be eligible for this position, candidates must possess:
- A Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA-accredited program/school.
- An active and unrestricted Psychology license.
- Meet the credentialing requirements set forth by the VA.
