About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
Responsibilities: In performing Disability Assessments, you will review medical records electronically through a web portal and conduct a focused, in-person physical exam on each Veteran. You will then electronically document the exam findings required by the VA through the web portal.
Key Attributes: To be successful in this role, you should be interested in performing Independent Medical Assessments, able to analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions, skilled in time management, and proficiently use a computer.
Requirements: Must hold a current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license (NCCPA accredited), have 2,080 supervised hours, and work 2 days a week with a set schedule during normal business hours without being on call. All work is performed in a clinical setting.
