Job Description:
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review medical records electronically through a web portal
- Perform focused, in-person physical exams on each Veteran
- Electronically document exam findings required by the VA through the web portal
Important Notes:
- The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant does not make disability determinations
- The United States Veterans Administration makes all disability determinations
- This role only performs Disability Assessments on Veterans and does not involve treatment or medication prescription
Schedule and Requirements:
- Part-time schedule, 2 days per week
- Practitioner should have 2,080 supervised hours
- In-person position
Requirements:
- Current and unrestricted NP or PA (NCCPA accredited) license
- Proficient computer skills
