What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterans Care Specialist position at MRG Exams?
At MRG Exams, we are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team of healthcare professionals. This exciting opportunity allows the successful candidate to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
The ideal candidate will review medical records electronically through a web portal and conduct in-person physical exams on each Veteran. The findings from these exams will be documented electronically through the web portal, with no involvement in disability determinations or treatment.
This role involves performing Disability Assessments on 3-5 Veterans per day, on average, and working Monday to Friday during regular business hours. As an IN-PERSON position, the Nurse Practitioner will not treat patients or prescribe medication.
Requirements:
- Able to analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions.
- Skilled in time management and able to stay on task to meet requirements.
- Must hold a current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license.
- Proficiently use a computer.
