The Role
We are seeking a licensed psychologist to perform comprehensive disability assessments on Veterans as part of the VA's benefits process.
In this role, you will review behavioral health records electronically through a secure web portal and conduct thorough assessments in person on each Veteran.
You will also complete disability benefits questionnaires (DBQs) through the web portal.
The licensed psychologist does not make disability determinations; instead, the U.S. Veterans Administration makes all determinations using the findings recorded in the DBQs.
This position involves performing disability assessments on Veterans only and does not involve treating patients or prescribing medication.
As a licensed psychologist, you will assess an average of four Veterans per day.
This is an independent contractor position with a flexible schedule of two to three days per week from 8 am to 5 pm.
Requirements
- Hold a Ph.D. or Psy.D. degree from an APA-accredited program/school.
- Maintain an active and unrestricted psychology license.
