A bachelor's degree in Engineering is essential, complemented by 2-5 years of hands-on experience in systems engineering, especially within NASA, DoD, or aerospace environments. Your background should include leading technical teams and managing complex system development projects that encompass both hardware and software configurations. A deep understanding of the systems engineering process and lifecycle is crucial, as is knowledge of the development lifecycle, including the intricacies of hardware and software processes. Familiarity with the space system certification process and Design for Sustainment methodology will enable you to navigate challenges effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are vital for collaboration across multiple disciplines, while experience with requirements management and risk analysis will ensure your projects are successful. Lastly, proficiency in SharePoint and Microsoft Office will aid in your documentation efforts and presentations.

- Knowledge of the systems development lifecycle to include hardware and software development process
- Understanding of the space system certification process
- Understanding of Design for Sustainment methodology
- Excellent written and verbal communication across multiple disciplines
- Knowledge and work experience in a Systems Engineering role in a NASA DoD or Aerospace environment.
- Experience with requirements, management, verification and validation, definition and execution, design trades risk analysis and system analysis of space hardware.
- Experience with the concept development concept of operation and operational concept definition, architecture definition, verification, testing and operation of space hardware.
- Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetings.
- Familiarity with SharePoint and Microsoft Office products.
- Experience with the design assembly verification testing and operation of space hardware.
