POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Electrical Engineer will oversee the technical aspects of scoping, planning, designing, and executing on-site capital projects, ensuring successful project completion from start to finish. This role involves serving as the main contact for external engineering firms, equipment suppliers, and construction contractors regarding electrical queries and issues. The position will provide expert electrical engineering support for large capital projects, addressing production, maintenance, growth, regulatory, and environmental concerns. Manage the project schedule and project budget for all electrical, controls, instrumentation, and selection, purchase, installation, and system start-up. The company has several locations in the US and this position is located in IOWA at the company's largest US facility.
QUALIFICATIONS
- US Citizen, Green Card authorization or Canadian Visa required - no sponsorship offered
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 7-10 years of industrial manufacturing experience working in food, chemical, pharma, process manufacturing environments.
- Expertise in Power Distribution including MCC’s, substations, transformers, lighting panels, and distribution panels is essential.
- Experience working with CAPEX projects over $10mil and working with multiple projects.
- Experience in Power Distribution systems including MCC’s, substations, transformers, lighting panels, and distribution panels.
- Knowledge of Foxboro DCS control systems or other DCS systems is a plus. .
- Expertise in understanding building indoor / outdoor lighting, HVAC, fire protection, warehousing, and emergency / backup power.
- Electrical / Controls / Instrumentation equipment specification, purchase, installation, and construction oversight.
- Knowledge in co-generation preferred.
