Process Shift Supervisor - Sugar Refinery, Western Nebraska
Job Summary :
Our client, a leading Sugar Refinery, seeks a dedicated Process Shift Supervisor. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage the production shift, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are achieved. You will lead a team of direct reports, effectively manage resources, and uphold adherence to health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Safety Leadership : Demonstrate and promote solid safety behaviors, ensuring strict compliance with safety procedures among all employees.
- Production Management : Take full accountability for overseeing staff, production activities, and meeting quality targets during your shift.
- Quality Assurance : Ensure products consistently meet specified quality standards, holding team members accountable for adherence to quality systems.
- Team Management : Develop and motivate direct reports, fostering a productive and cohesive team environment.
- Performance Monitoring : Track and report on production process performance, addressing any issues promptly as they arise.
- Communication : Maintain effective communication with team members to ensure clarity on objectives and tasks.
- Health and Safety Compliance : Enforce health and safety rules and procedures, promptly addressing any related issues during the shift.
- Problem Solving : Utilize strong problem-solving skills and root cause analysis to resolve production issues efficiently.
- Collaboration : Work closely with other Shift Supervisors to ensure smooth production handovers and continuity.
- Training and Development : Ensure employees are trained effectively and safely for their tasks, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Resource Optimization : Manage company resources efficiently to optimize operating costs.

Work Schedule :
Employees work 3-4 days either on days or nights with 1-4 days off between shift turns. Shifts are 12 hours long, either 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. or 8 p.m. to 8 a.m., totaling a 28-day schedule.
