What Youll Do
The Credit Risk Manager leads a team of commercial credit analysts and underwriters responsible for underwriting real estate, business, and agricultural credit requests, as well as monitoring ongoing customer performance to ensure compliance with loan terms. This role collaborates with various business partners to address their needs while maintaining adherence to the organizations risk appetite and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support the teams activities, including financial analysis, underwriting, monitoring, and reporting.
- Provide expert guidance across all lending areas, including real estate, business, and agriculture.
- Coordinate with stakeholders from both the first and second lines of responsibility to ensure deadlines and objectives are met.
- Support the efficient and consistent use of loan origination system (LOS) software.
- Ensure data integrity within the loan portfolio and recommend corrective actions when needed.
- Maintain accuracy and consistency in credit risk assessments and underwriting documentation.
- Act as a subject matter expert in the development and implementation of training programs.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable banking regulations and internal policies.

- Expertise in CI, commercial real estate, and agricultural lending.
- Experience in loan workouts preferred.
- Proficiency in loan origination system software and credit policy procedures.
- Strong knowledge of financial statements, including cash, accrual, and tax accounting.
