Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled PA/NJ PLS Surveyor with experience in heavy highway and commercial surveying. The ideal candidate will have a background in surveying for large-scale construction projects and will be responsible for ensuring that construction work complies with design drawings.
Responsibilities:
- Establish control points
- Use all standard survey equipment efficiently
- Produce redline as-built drawings
- Provide topographic and cross-section surveys as required
- Prepare required paperwork for surveying activities
- Maintain equipment assigned
- Supervise other surveyors on the team
- Coordinate surveying activities with project teams
- Use survey computer programs to aid in tasks (AutoCAD & Carlson)
- Manage other surveyors as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant construction field experience in surveying
- Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
- Comfortable working in various conditions and climates
- Strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education required for NJ licensure
- Minimum of 5 years of technical engineering/surveying training
- Valid driver's license
- PA and/or NJ LS required or in the process of obtaining licensure(s) within 1 year of employment
