DAY TO DAY AS A SURVEYOR

As a new Surveyor at Gilmore and Associates, your day-to-day responsibilities will include conducting precise land surveys using advanced equipment and software. You will prepare and maintain accurate survey data, maps, and reports, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Collaborating with engineers and project managers, you'll develop detailed site plans and assist in project design processes. Daily tasks will also involve fieldwork, where you'll collect measurements and assess site conditions, ensuring meticulous documentation of your findings. You are expected to communicate effectively with team members and clients, providing updates and addressing any concerns.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare proposals and negotiate contracts including scope, schedule and cost
  • Provide guidance and direction to office staff and field crews
  • Perform document research and review
  • Prepare, review, and sign boundary, topographic, as-built and other types of surveys
  • Prepare legal descriptions
  • Perform and prepare most types of land surveying plans, reports and documents
  • Calculate, setup and check stakeout for construction projects
  • Manage the financial aspects of projects; invoicing and collections

Essential Qualifications:

  • Registered Professional Land Surveyor in Pennsylvania
  • 2 years of survey experience
