The HR Generalist will provide human resources support to our MRM Princeton, New Jersey and MRM New York location. This position will be responsible for the delivery of key HR programs and services including new hire orientation, onboarding, diversity and Inclusion events and initiatives, talent review, benefits administration, compensation, engagement / retention strategies, training and management development activities, employee relations, and various change initiatives. This positon will also provide administrative support to the HR team.
Key Responsibilities :
On-Boarding / Off-boarding
- Facilitate smooth on-boarding process for freelance and regular new hires and be main point of contact for employees
- Assist in relocation process for both domestic and foreign national employees transferring in and work with MWG Visa Specialist / IPG outside counsel on necessary work authorization filings, when applicable.
- Exit interview process
Performance Management / Employee Development
Help train management on, and facilitate understanding of performance management process, corrective action framework and, accountability on managing teams' performance.Coordinate learning and development initiatives in partnership with talent team.Partners with the team in the annual internship program and mentorship program, diversity events, and employee social events and participates in projects to support overall HR initiatives.Employee Relations
Coach and counsel managers and employees to resolve employee relations issues.Participate in employee investigations as needed; document issues and consult with HR Director, IPG Legal (as appropriate) to identify recommendations and avoid costly litigation.Work to maintain and expand positive employee relations with employees.Steward of the IPG / MRM employment policies; local and federal laws.Serves as Agency benefits liaison - administers leaves of absence, handles worker's compensation claims, assists with Open Enrollment, responds to employee benefit questions, etc.Ensures proper record retention by maintaining personnel files, I-9s, and other documentationPartners with the team in diversity events, and employee social events and participates in projects to support overall HR initiativesOperational Excellence and Reporting
Support HR system roll-outsEnsure HR administrative and compliance requirements are metEnsure data integrity of all assigned business unitsMaster reporting needs, including but not limited to, HR department metricsRun People Soft Report Queries to help build HR metrics to report outHelp gather information for attrition reports & exit analysisAnalyze employee surveys (i.e. 7 days, 30 days, 90 day surveys)Suggest improvements to policies and practices to improve efficiency and effectivenessAdministrative

3-5 years of progressive experience in Human ResourcesMinimum of a Bachelor's or related degree preferably in Organizational Development and / or Human ResourcesExcellent communication skills both written and oralStrong problem-solving skills and detail orientedSelf-motivator takes initiative to resolve situations and improve departmental processesWell-developed interpersonal and negotiating skills, especially in dealing with sensitive and / or controversial issuesAbility and willingness to problem solve, prioritize, negotiate and juggle changing deadlinesWorking knowledge of FMLA, COBRA, federal and state labor lawsIntermediate to strong skill level in Microsoft OfficeExperience using HRIS system and reportingAbility to create / run report queries in PeopleSoftSAP, Red Carpet, SilkRoad, Peoplesoft, Workday systems experience preferredStrong organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills a mustAbout MRM
