Wage: $45,000 - $51,000

Supervision: None

Hours: 7:30am-4:00pm, Monday through Friday. Hours may vary depending on business needs and special projects.

Travel: Local for meetings, mail pickup, and events

SUMMARY

This role is responsible for Accounts Receivable activities for all customer accounts in the company’s ERP system including, but not limited to cash application exceptions; customer deductions; acquiring, analyzing, and understanding supporting documentation for customer payments; and maintain the A/R Aged Report.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitors customer accounts for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities.
  • Processes and records daily deposits from customers in a timely manner.
  • Carries out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlines.
  • Analyzes and processes customer deductions, including post-audits. This includes validation by using Excel and other software to substantiate findings.
  • Engages customers, brokers, sales staff, supervisor or manager as required to resolve complex issues.
  • Communicates with brokers, customers, sales and internal staff on outstanding unauthorized deductions. This includes understanding the process for requesting and collecting repayment of invalid deductions, identifying trends and resolving issues which case invalid deductions.
  • Supports team members in achieving superior internal and external customer service.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS

  • Associate’s degree in business/accounting and/or 2-years of related experience.
  • Knowledge with working in the food industry is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a multi-task environment with multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities and specific time constraints.
  • Requires attention-to-detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information in understandable terms at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills as candidate is required to deal with people both individually and in groups to resolve conflicts.

TECHNOLOGY

  • Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft environment, with basic capabilities in Microsoft Excel.
  • Microsoft Navision knowledge is preferred

The employee frequently is required to sit. The employee will have limited lifting, must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds for transport of training materials and setting up learning events. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Required to wear PPE when in production areas to ensure safe food and adhering to safety practices.

When providing learning or walking through the plant to perform the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); work near moving mechanical parts. The employee will be exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outdoor weather conditions when traveling between entrances; extreme cold (non-weather); extreme heat (non-weather). The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.

Works primarily in an office environment with visits in the production areas of the plant.
