Job Title: Press Supervisor (Metal Stamping)

Location: Smyrna, TN

Shift: 1st, 6:00AM-4:30PM (up to 5:45 PM, depending on needs) as needed Saturdays

Salary: Up to $60,000

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Directs and Develops Team Leaders and Operators in the Press Dept.
• Analyze problems and take action to show results based on data and facts and not opinion.
• Maintains and promotes fair and equitable treatment of all employees.
• Track quantified progress based on Company Goals and Objectives.
• Initiate Gorika activities and promote daily improvement by all employees to support Company goals.
• Cover role of Senior Supervisor/ Assistant Mgr during absence.
• Safety Maintain and Audit Safety Awareness Insure C/M'S implemented on time.
• Maintain and Audit 5s System
• Audit Standardized Work
• Audit Effectiveness of Safety Kaizens/ Countermeasures
• Monitor Findings Through KPI (PDCA)
• Quality Audit Standardized Work (4M Method) Insure C/M's implemented on time
• Audit Effectiveness of Countermeasures (PDCA) Make plan to keep hold area clean
• Audit and Monitor Change Point
• Productivity Audit Standardized Work (4M Method) Be able to Calculate Eff and make plan
• Track SPM Trends and Countermeasures
• Identify and Implement Efficiency Improvement Opportunities
• React to Abnormal Conditions and Implement Actions to Maintain Productivity
• Monitor Scrap and Implement Countermeasures (PDCA)
• Audit S.M.E.D. Activity
• Teamwork Develop Team Concept. (People are the Most Valuable Resource)
• Support, Coach and Develop Employees Through Self Representation
• Drive Support (QCC Functions,Kaizen and Safety Events)
• Develop and Maintain Sense of Urgency to Support KPI Data
• Problem Solving Audit Root Cause Analysis and Effectiveness of Countermeasures (PDCA)
• Continuous Improvement Understand Necessity of Continuous Improvement and Support to Spread Culture Change
• Understand and Utilize 7 Forms of Waste
• Understand Concept of Kaizen and Gorika and Yokoten
• Cost Justification (Return on Investment)
• Utilize Lessons Learned to Prevent Issues on New Programs (FMEA)\

Skills:

• Basic Math
• Basic Excel (Functions, Formulas, Graphs, Charts)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Experience:

• Automotive Manufacturing: 3 years (Required)
• Background in Stamping and Robotis transfer preferred
