Are you a passionate engineer with a commitment to improving water quality and sustainability? ms consultants, inc. is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our North Carolina region. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our Water Practice Area, participating in the planning, design, and execution of water and wastewater infrastructure projects for both public and private sector clients.
As a member of ms consultants, inc., you will be joining a dedicated team with over 40 years of experience providing comprehensive drinking water, wastewater, and engineering services. Our mission is to improve water quality and enhance community infrastructure across the nation—one drop at a time!
What You'll Do:
Being part of our Water team, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with a diverse group of professionals across ms consultants. You'll play a vital role in designing water and wastewater treatment plants, distribution and collection systems, stormwater management, and more. Your responsibilities will include conducting planning studies and reports, performing calculations, developing detailed designs using AutoCAD, overseeing construction administration, and modeling water systems. We're looking for a self-motivated individual with a strong sense of accountability and a passion for delivering high-quality, innovative solutions.
Specific work will include:
- water and wastewater systems and treatment
- hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design
- stormwater management systems
What You'll Bring:
We have a variety of projects coming through the door, so we are looking for someone with versatility and the ability to multi-task to manage multiple projects and priorities. If you are a creative problem solver, willing and able to communicate design ideas and learn office production workflow in a collaborative team environment, then this role is for you.
- Excel working individually and, in a team environment
- Have exceptional critical thinking, strong problem solving and decision making abilities
- Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Has knowledge of AutoCAD
- Experience in planning, design, and construction of water, wastewater, and stormwater projects
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant field from an ABET accredited college or University
- Engineer Intern (EI) license required or able to obtain within 6 months.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required
