Turret Forklift Operator

MS-IL Staffing & Packaging, in partnership with a local client, is currently hiring a Turret Forklift Operator in Greenwood, Indiana.

Pay: $17.50/hour
Shift: 1st shift, 6AM - 2PM, Monday to Friday

As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of mechanical, motorized, and electrical equipment within the facility, including forklifts, dollies, and hand trucks. This role involves handling materials, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and completing Quality Assurance tasks (QA experience preferred).

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain equipment safely for material handling, warehousing, and transportation.
• Move goods securely to and from various locations, including trailers.
• Follow logistics, supply chain, material management, and distribution policies to meet business needs.
• Maintain safety in designated zones while operating equipment.
• Assist with machine operations for weighing, banding, wrapping, and packaging.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Background Check: 7-year clean record (no felonies or misdemeanors).
• Drug Test: Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1-3 years of relevant forklift operating experience.

Skills:

• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping.
• Lifting, lowering, pushing, and pulling objects of varying weights.
• Working at heights of up to 20 feet.
• Adapting to changing temperatures in the work environment.
