Precast Concrete Plant in Winder is looking for experienced and hardworking QC Tech. The candidate will be responsible for conducting various tests and inspections on raw materials, in-process concrete, and finished products to guarantee they meet industry standards and specifications. The technician works closely with production teams and management to maintain and enhance the quality of concrete products.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct tests on raw materials such as aggregates, cement, and water to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Perform regular inspections of incoming materials and document findings.
- Monitor and inspect the concrete batch plant to ensure proper mixing and proportioning of materials.
- Adjust mix designs as necessary to meet specifications.
- Conduct inspections and tests during the concrete production process to identify and address any issues promptly.
- Collect samples of fresh and hardened concrete for laboratory analysis.
- Maintain an organized and well-documented sample storage system.
- Document all test results, inspections, and observations accurately.
- Prepare and maintain quality control reports and records.
- Calibrate testing equipment regularly to ensure accurate results.
- Perform routine maintenance on testing equipment.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures during all quality control activities.
Requirements:
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Some level of college or technical school.
- ACI level 1 Field Technician certification with at least 6 months training or experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Proven experience as a Concrete Quality Control Technician or similar role.
- Knowledge of concrete mix designs, testing methods, and industry standards.
- Familiarity with testing equipment such as slump cones, air meters, and compression machines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
