We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with a CPA certification to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing complex accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing leadership within the finance department. This role requires strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial records.
- Month-End Close: Lead the month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Audit Preparation: Coordinate and prepare for internal and external audits, including providing necessary documentation and resolving audit queries.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including preparing and filing tax returns.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and analysis of budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights and recommendations.
- Internal Controls: Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Cost Accounting: Analyze and report on cost variances, product costs, and inventory valuations.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, including training and mentoring.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
- Experience in public accounting or a similar industry is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.

Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
