MSC Cruises, the world's third largest and fastest growing cruise line is expanding its eCommerce team. The eCommerce Content Manager develops maintains and executes the content strategy for msccruisesusa.com. This position is responsible for understanding and communicating our brand and products, as well as driving our merchandising mix, from the category level, down to individual products. This position strives to connect each customer with the products that best meet their needs, by focusing on the shopping experience to maximize conversion rates, revenue and ROI.

Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, or related field.

Excellent verbal communication skills with a native command of the English language.

Strong skills in creating original content that targets a specific audience and meets company objectives.

Initiative to seek out, receive, and implement feedback on created content, especially while learning the MSC Cruises voice.

Versed in the use of Content Management Systems (Sitecore experience a plus.)

Extremely computer literate, especially with how to write, interpret and edit HTML scripts, or batch upload data in CSV format.

Expertise using SEO best practices to write creative copy that includes effective keyword placement.

Knowledge of Google Analytics is a must, Contentsquare is desired.

Good organizational and time-management skills.

Able to lead and own projects with minimal supervision.

Extreme attention to detail.

Task and deadline oriented.

Strategy

Work as a key member of a cross-functional team alongside multiple business stakeholders to ensure the website generates leads, drives bookings and pre cruise event, delivers useful and informative content while clearly delivering the Company's brand message with a superior user experience, and meets the evolving business needs of the organization

Leverage analytics particularly Contentsquare and Google Analytics, to identify important insights, create success metrics, report on performance, and find opportunities to improve the user experience

Align with business owners on how to best meet their objectives within the digital channel

Stay abreast of current best practices and review competitor websites, to generate new ideas and draw the audience’s attention

Constantly evaluate navigation, taxonomy, and attribute adjustments, as well as CMS design and functionality upgrades

Conduct ongoing site audits including the entire user journey from pre-cruise purchase to cruise planning and check-in

Coordinate the alignment with our corporate office for content localization

Operations

Manage the content governance model as well as the editorial and publishing calendar for the website to ensure content is up to date, relevant, and of value to target audiences.

Maintain a content marketing calendar that schedules all aspects of the creation and delivery of content throughout the year.

Define the content style guide for authoring content via the Sitecore CMS including the selection of templates, components, and modules, and the parameters of the asset for copy, images, video, tagging, SEO metadata, etc.

Manage the priority list containing new content and revisions to existing content.

Layout and publish informational pages, brand pages, and other additional content.

Use HTML and CSV files to format and load into the Content Management Systems.

Maintain style guide for copy, images, copy, and video with alignment from Creative Director.

Responsible for editing, publishing, proofing, and auditing web content on the website.

Maintain accurate product description, image, video, features, and value proposition.

Maintain ADA (WCAG) compliance for web content.

Ensure compliance with the law (e.g., copyright, cookie privacy, and data protection.)Responsible for the functional testing and accuracy of content updates completed.

Research & log website errors and assist with the troubleshooting of technical bugs.

Promotions and Merchandising

Create digital campaigns and content to support operations and marketing needs, striving to create journeys that are merchandised to maximize customer engagement and conversion.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to launch campaigns accurately and on time, based on the promotions calendar.

Create briefs for desired campaigns assets, promotions, copywriting, imagery, and videos.

Create promotions and campaign landing pages, including promotion category pages, and other content as needed.

Provide analytical support to measure the performance of promotional campaigns and merchandising slots.

Merchandise site continually to optimize for analytics-based and strategically aligned compelling content. SEO

Implement an SEO strategy that positively impacts traffic, engagement, lead generation, and other established website KPIs. Monitor product descriptions for keyword-rich, web-friendly copy.

Monitor in-site links in reviews and expand linking strategy.

Work with the SEO team to maximize high-traffic landing pages for maximum engagement and conversion.

Managerial

Ability to manage a team to execute on multiple priorities and make independent decisions about workload management to support unpredictable and dynamic projects with very short lead time and quick turnarounds, on time and within budget.

Develop team members via goal setting and ongoing feedback

Communicate project priority and timelines to staff to ensure deadlines are met.

Hire & train new team members and\/or vendors.
