Position Title : Safety Advocate Pay Rate : $33.26 / hr. Category / Shift : Hourly Full-Time Physical Location : 1000 Muscat Ave Sanger, Ca 93657 The Job You Will Perform : Follow all safety rules and practices Safety process audits and behavior observations Safety suggestion administration JSA and LOTT review and updates Facilitate and lead the Sanger Engagement Team and organize activities. Schedule monthly Safety and Environmental training topics. Maintain and update Machine Qualification Tracker. Complete monthly IPS and Safety Leading Indicator tracking. Communicate and track LIFE Alerts and NAC Master Action Tracker items. Follow all Business Specific Safety Performance Standards. Participate in incident investigations. Follow up on corrective actions. New employee orientation, confirm new employee onboarding is complete. Safety Information Coordinator - maintains bulletin boards and plant signs. Daily communication with department supervisors. Track and file all facility inspections and training documentation. Maintain and track monthly SWO performance and participation. Complete monthly Storm water Visual Observation Log. Complete annual Storm water sampling for facility. Complete monthly SPCC facility inspection. Complete SPCC quarterly oil inventory. Participate in required Internal and External EHS Audits and Inspections. Perform all other duties assigned by Manager. The Skills You Will Bring : Candidate must have demonstrated safety leadership in the past. Must be willing to work any shift and to work a variable shift schedule. Must be willing to confront unsafe acts and conditions and take necessary corrective action including follow-up. Must serve as a role model by personally following all plant safety rules and processes. Should have basic computer skills : Word, Email, Charts, Graphs and Trend Analysis Candidate must have the ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of team. A proven leader, goal oriented, self-starter, good communicator and computer literate. Candidate must have a firm understanding of driving safety culture, adhering to corporate and human resources policy.
