Our client, a leader in the Agriculture Research and Development sector, is seeking a Safety Coordinator to join their team for their warehouse operation. As a Safety Coordinator, you will be part of the Environmental Health and Safety department supporting a culture of safety and compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving abilities, excellent technical writing skills, and great interpersonal skills which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title : Safety Coordinator - 1st and 2nd Shift - rotate with the season Hours : 1st shift May-Nov 7am-3 : 30pm and 2nd Shift Nov-May 3pm - 11 : 30pm Location : Grimes, IA Pay Range : $30-$31 per hour What's the Job? Conduct onboarding and safety training for new employees. Perform safety line walks and provide coaching to workers on safe work practices. Write operating procedures and perform hazard assessments. Issue permits for non-routine tasks and conduct safety audits. Lead safety committee meetings and maintain safety records. What's Needed? Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Knowledge of environmental regulations and safety standards. OSHA 10 certification is required. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong communication skills. What's in it for me?
