The Musco Risk Management Department is seeking a Safety Coordinator to work from our Oskaloosa location. The purpose of this position is to develop, implement, and coordinate programs, processes and procedures to promote a safe working environment for Oskaloosa Operations. Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Be a resource for safety and environmental questions and concerns arising from Oskaloosa-based operations.
- Provide Online / Classroom / Hands on Training and educational opportunities on safety topics for your respective Team Members.
- Provide support and programs, forms, and procedures documentation for Oskaloosa-based operations.
- Conduct Equipment / Site Inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies.
- Facilitate an Environmental, social, and governance program, developing and documenting Musco’s ESG systems.
- Actively be involved in accident investigations to determine root cause, necessary preventative measures, incident documentation, safety reports and updates to leadership team.
- Responsible for direction and operational support for First Aid Providers.
- Responsible for the direction and operational support of a safety committee with members representing different departments.
- A bachelor’s degree and three years of safety experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Successful experience creating and implementing policies and projects.
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks.
- Ability to work with a variety of people, both within Musco and outside the company.
- Experience facilitating group meetings and processes.
- Previous experience with accident investigation
- Ability to lead others without direct supervisory responsibilities
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Regular travel to other company locations required.
- Some on call and weekend work required
- Must be willing to carry and respond to a company cell phone
