The Service Engineer role is the technical service leader who performs and leads MRO in the field. This role will work independently, or in a team. They will be responsible for implementing processes and procedures for servicing MSHS supported products/equipment. Responsible for customer service internally and externally. Professional responsibility in delivering all tasks assigned to the company standard.

- Salary Range: $36.00 - $40.00 per hour, based on experience and skillset
- Work Location: Remote
- Travel Expectations: up to 85%
- Direct Supervision Responsibilities: up to 5 employees
- EMD and/or MAK experience preferred
Duties & Responsibilities
- Demonstrates high-level fault-finding capabilities and high-level understanding of systems and controls to the point of being able to deliver high level product instruction to customers and other employees.
- Can perform fault finding at the electrical and mechanical level, can read and interpret complex electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- Has the ability to create and develop control system diagrams.
- Can be relied upon to train junior field service engineers in all aspects of site work.
- Can be relied upon to provide in house support for system testing.
- Can be relied upon to provide a high level of TAG support identifying the correct product to meet the needs of the customer’s process.
- Has the ability to install and commission standard controls, small systems and actuation.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Familiar with a variety of the field concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- May lead and direct the work of others.
- Creative thinking, critical thinking, and ability to problem solves
- EMD and/or MAK exprience, 3 years highly preferred
- Require 4-6 years’ experience in a relevant field, plus a recognized electrical or mechanical certificate from Trade School or Military Training Institution
- Associates Degree OR a bachelor’s degree in area of specialty and 5-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- The ability to stand for long periods and be comfortable with kneeling, stooping and working in cramped and uncomfortable positions is required.
- Should be prepared to twist and turn the body often and must be open to working outdoors in various weather conditions.
