Summary : The National Sales & Marketing Sales Director is responsible for collaborating and working with MSIs field sales teams to establish strategies and execute plans for growing the sales of our largest customers, buying groups and trade organizations across North America. The position will also assist the Team Leader of National Sales and Marketing in working with the Sales Teams to perpetuate the strategies and fundamentals to grow MSIs floor, wall and hardscape categories across multiple sales channels driving sales results.

Work Hours : Monday to Friday from 08 : 00 AM to 05 : 00 PM

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to do the following :

  • Develop and maintain relationships with large key customers, buying groups, trade organizations, etc.
  • Identify large scale opportunities, create focused sales strategies, collaborate with internal MSI teams to develop opportunity specific sales plan
  • Deliver sales presentations to customers, execute and follow up on deliverables to ensure sales growth
  • Understand the most crucial needs of key customers and buying groups and work with the MSI teams to develop solutions that will result in overall sales growth
  • Develop in-depth business to business sales relationships to secure new sales programs
  • Act as a key interface between the customer, field sales teams, and relevant internal departments
  • Participate in the team that internally and externally launches new products and product lines multiple times a year via webinars, in person presentations, employee training sessions, etc.
  • Lead multi-day internal new employee training focused on product, go-to-market strategies and processes
  • Assist in the development and implementation of key marketing and merchandising elements
  • Meet and train field sales teams to perpetuate the strategies and fundamentals of growing MSIs flooring, wall tile and hardscape business
  • Travel 50% nationally and / or internationally
  • Perform additional duties as required and or requested

Additionally the candidate must meet the following Education and / or Experience requirements :

  • College Degree required
  • Four (4) plus years experience in key accounts, national accounts / strategic sales or buying group management Related industry experience strongly preferred in the hard surface flooring category.
  • Exhibit confidence and foresight in soliciting new business and growing existing accounts.
  • Proven track record in developing and enhancing customer relationships.
  • Excellent social skills; sales, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills and highly motivated.
  • Personable, able to communicate clearly (both verbal and written), both with customers, as well as internal MSI departments.
  • Great listener, able to interpret relevant insight from various resources.
  • Capable of working with multiple departments and influencing decisions towards a common goal.
  • Knowledge of MSIs product lines is a plus
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
