The Human Resources Manager plays a crucial role in managing and leading strategic and tactical HR activities within their area. This position collaborates with leadership teams, operational leaders, and functional departments to ensure human resources goals are being met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
- Ensure local issues are taken into account when developing strategies and initiatives
- Employee Relation and Engagement
- Serve as an advocate and counsel to hourly and exempt associates
- Manage and conduct internal investigations as needed
- Effectively implement HR policies that comply with statutory regulations and are consistent with internal and external best practices
- Ensure compliance with all required regulations, policies, and laws related to Human Resources activities
- Ensure management is trained in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment
- Manage staffing, succession planning, and associate programs and processes
- Implement/manage training and development activities and monitor effectiveness
- Oversee the administration of compliance with, and execution of, our performance management systems
Requirements:
- BS/BA degree in Human Resources or related field or minimum of seven years HR experience required
- Master's degree in Human Resources or other related field desired
- 5 years of experience in HR with exposure to all major functional areas of HR
- Previous experience partnering with senior management
- Proven experience of leading deployment of organizational change
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
- In-depth knowledge of Labor law and HR best practices
- Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred
