Medical Search International is seeking : Locums Pediatric Hospitalist The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role. Paid travel, Malpractice & Excellent compensation Need : Ped-Hospitalist ( Must have SC License ) Start Date ASAP Support Staff : Pediatric NP, Lactation, Respiratory, OT, ST, Nutritionist Length of need : Ongoing Privileging Timeframe : 2 months Department Description : Hospitalist will cover the inpatient w / o PICU, pediatric ward, labor and delivery, emergency department, nursery level I and NICU II, A, B. There are 17 nursery beds and 13 NICU beds Patient Population / Age : Peds and Adolescents EMR-Epic Special Procedures : Scope of Practice : Adolescents, Peds, Neonates; admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat or consult on newborns and children through adolescence Certifications : Board Certification is required (ABMS / AOA) Certifications Required : PALS, NRP Skills Required : incision / drainage of superficial abscesses; lumbar puncture, ventilation management (non-invasive (BPAP / CPAP) & invasive (ETT / NT); xray interpretation, infectious illness of the blood, skin, lungs, and kidneys; respiratory illnesses (pneumonia, croup), common pediatric illnesses (influenza, dehydration), recovery from injuries or surgeries, attend c-section / high-risk deliveries Client can utilize a locum for various weeknights, weekends and holidays Nov-Feb.
