The Assistant Purchasing Agent will work with the Purchasing Agent, or Buyer, to provide administrative and clerical support, assisting with tasks like ordering, tracking inventory, and vendor communication to ensure a smooth and efficient procurement processes.

Administrative Support
- Maintaining records and files related to purchasing activities.
- Answering phone calls and responding to inquiries related to purchasing.
- Assisting with the preparation of purchase orders and other documents.
- Managing and tracking inventory levels.
- Placing orders with vendors, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Monitoring shipments and tracking purchase orders.
- Reconciling purchase orders with invoices and delivery notes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in purchasing or related fields is beneficial.
- High school diploma or equivalent is generally required.
