Position Description
- As a member of the Executive Leadership Team for the Arizona Department of Veterans' Services, the Regional Compliance Administrator supervises and guides Arizona State Veteran Home administrators to ensure the development, initiation, maintenance, and revision of policies and procedures for the general operation of multiple skilled nursing facilities across the state of Arizona, and ensures compliance with requirements of the Department of Health Services and the federal Department of Veteran Affairs, as well as preventing illegal or improper conduct or actions.
- The Regional Compliance Administrator develops and periodically reviews the standards of conduct to ensure continuing relevance in providing proper information to management and employees of the Arizona State Veteran Homes.
- Collaborates with other members of the Executive Leadership Team to ensure agency policies and procedures are being followed, and that behaviour in the organization meets or exceeds the minimum standards of conduct and disposition.
- Provides technical expertise and insight in a consultative or advisory capacity to assist the Deputy Director and the Director.
- Learns, implements, and monitors methods of the Arizona Management System (AMS). Utilizes AMS concepts and tools for problem-solving and continuous work/process improvements and efficiencies.
Skills Required:
- Managing and directing the overall activities of multiple long-term care/skilled nursing facilities/Slate Veterans Homes.
- Interpretation and application of all rules and regulations about the operation of long-term care/skilled nursing/Slate Veteran Home
- Developing policies and procedures
- Preliminary or initiation, maintenance, and revision of Network Agreement with payors.
Skills Preferred :
- Nursing home administration principles and practices.
- Federal and Slate laws governing the operations of the Arizona State Veteran Homes
- Law, regulations, and guidelines pertaining lo long-term care/skilled nursing facility administration.
Experience Required :
- A minimum of 5-6 years’ experience in the administration of skilled nursing facilities
- Must have a valid Arizona Skilled Nursing Facility Administrator license
- Must have a current TB Test
- Must possess an unencumbered current license to practice as a Nursing Home Administrator in Arizona.
- Frequent in-state travel is required.
- Position requires driving in the course of conducting State Business.
- A valid driver's license is required
- Must have a Fingerprint Clearance Card * provide all these required credentials when your candidate is selected
Education Required Bachelor’s degree although a master's degree is desired in Healthcare Administration or a closely related field of study.

Remote and Office NOTE: If the position requires to drive on state business, the position will require the possession of and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver's license appropriate to the assignment.
Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver's license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.11).

Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
