Senior Business Analyst

Job Description:

1. Bridging Business and Technical Teams

• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, developer(s), and data teams to ensure a clear understanding of business needs and technical feasibility.

• Facilitate discussions between non-technical stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment on requirements, priorities, and delivery expectations.

• Translate business objectives into technical specifications, ensuring clarity for both parties.

1. Requirements Gathering and Documentation

• Conduct workshops, stakeholder interviews, and process mapping to gather business requirements.

• Document business processes, functional requirements, user stories, and workflows.

• Ensure all documentation is structured, detailed, and understandable by both business and technical teams.

• Manage requirement changes effectively, ensuring traceability from initial ask to implementation.

1. Testing and Validation

• Develop test scripts and acceptance criteria based on signed-off requirements.

• Support UAT by coordinating with stakeholders and technical teams.

• Validate developed solutions to ensure they meet business needs before deployment.

1. App and Data Support

• Collaborate with Power BI developers and data teams to define and validate reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions.

• Work with technical teams to validate data accuracy, transformations, and business logic.

• Collaborate with developers to discuss system integrations and automations.

1. Process Improvement and Compliance

• Identify gaps and inefficiencies in current business processes, proposing improvements.

• Ensure documentation meets the standards. Key Skills and Competencies

1. Business and Facilitation Skills

• Strong ability to bridge business and technical discussions

• Experience in financial services • Understanding of business process modeling (BPMN, UML, or similar)

• Ability to drive collaborative decision-making

2. Technical and Data Skills

• Experience with Power BI (reports, dashboards, DAX)

• Familiarity with Azure cloud services (Logic Apps, Functions, Data Factory, etc.)

• Understanding of high-code C# based applications or API (to facilitate discussions, not coding)

• SQL knowledge for data validation and analysis

1. Testing and Documentation

• Writing functional specs, user stories, and test cases

• Experience in UAT and test script creation

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence)

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to work cross-functionally with teams

• Experience with financial data analytics and reporting

• Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing

• Exposure to Azure Data Services (ADF, Synapse, etc.) • Understanding of API testing tools (Postman, Swagger
