Key responsibilities include directing CARC crop variety testing programs on- and off-center, developing the program in collaboration with colleagues, and cooperating with all programs at CARC.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in crop science, agronomy, or related fields, as well as significant experience in conducting small plot agronomic research, managing field research, and analyzing data.
- Manage and supervise staff involved in the crop variety testing program.
- Collaborate with plant breeders and colleagues directing crop variety testing at other research centers.
- Provide educational leadership to farmers and stakeholders in Central Montana.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in crop variety testing and agricultural research.
