The Program Director for Crop Variety Testing will be responsible for developing and implementing crop variety testing programs that meet the needs of farmers and stakeholders in Central Montana. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with plant breeders and colleagues at other research centers to develop and implement innovative crop variety testing programs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement crop variety testing programs that meet the needs of farmers and stakeholders in Central Montana.
- Collaborate with plant breeders and colleagues at other research centers to develop new crop varieties.
- Conduct small plot agronomic research and analyze data to inform crop variety selection decisions.
- Provide educational leadership on crop variety selection to farmers and stakeholders in Central Montana.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Crop Science, Agronomy, or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in conducting small plot agronomic research.
- Experience in operating field research equipment.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
