Seeking a hospitality focused student with high standards of excellence in wanting to gain firsthand experience in Beverage Management in helping assist in overseeing the venue’s wine, beer, and liquor ordered for the Kellogg Restaurant and Events operations.
Job Duties Include
This position is mainly intended for candidates who want to interview during the HB Career Expo in February 2025
Hourly wage: $16.00
Location: Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center, plus offsite locations: Stadium Tower, Breslin Student Event Center, Wharton Center, Broad Art Museum

Seeking a hospitality focused student with high standards of excellence in wanting to gain firsthand experience in Beverage Management in helping assist in overseeing the venue’s wine, beer, and liquor ordered for the Kellogg Restaurant and Events operations.
Job Duties Include
- Duties include rotating stock in the Kellogg Center beverage/liquor room and Spartan Stadium Tower.
- Putting away weekly beverage deliveries
- Preparing bar pack-outs for events
- Preparing transfer sheets
- Assisting with the weekly beverage orders
- Checking invoices to update pricing
- General beverage maintenance
- Cleaning, and organization of Kellogg Center liquor room and offsite locations
- Assist with monthly inventory
- Beverage transport with the supervision and direction of an Event Manager
- Providing additional oversight/support for offsite beverage venues in which we are the exclusive provider (Stadium Tower, Breslin Student Event Center, Wharton Center, Broad Art Museum)
- Other duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Manager relating to beverages

Required Qualifications
- Be enrolled as a student at Michigan State University (during academic year)
- Demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service
- Must be positive and respectful, especially when serving a diverse population
- Basic knowledge of wine, liquor and Beer
- Focus on attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Time management to stay on task and adjust when needed
- Must be able to work weekdays and weekends, football games, some holidays (Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day), varying times, mornings and evenings
- Hospitality Business majors preferred
- Completed ServSafe certification

Physical Demands
- Be able to lift / move up to 40 pounds
- Walk stand long period of times
- Reaching, bending, twisting, stooping pushing and pulling
- Lifting overhead
- Working in warm and cool temperatures
- 20 hours per week minimum
- Weekly schedule is variable based on operational needs and Events
- Must be able to work weekdays and weekends, football games, some holidays (Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day), varying times, mornings and evenings.
