Mt. Abraham Union Middle/High School is a 7-12 school with approximately 600 students from four vibrant Addison County towns. We believe that all students should have access to high-quality, personalized, proficiency-based learning opportunities and authentic assessment practices. We seek to support all learners to thrive at Mt. Abraham so that they are prepared for meaningful engagement in college, career, and community upon graduation.
We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic social studies educator for a one-year position working primarily with students in grades 7-8. The successful candidate will have the ability to foster positive relationships with students, be organized, and work collaboratively with teachers and administrators. Our desired candidate will be able to plan, organize, and implement a proficiency-based instructional program aligned with the College, Career, and Civic Life (C3) Framework for Social Studies State Standards in a middle/high school learning environment, that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.
