What are the responsibilities and job description for the First Team Baseball Head Coach (Gr. 9-12) position at Mt. Ararat High School?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work with the Varsity Head Coach to implement a comprehensive baseball program.
- Work collaboratively with other program coaches, parents, boosters and youth organizations.
- Provide positive leadership while teaching and modeling good sportsmanship during practices and games
- Provide adequate supervision and management of team members during practices and games.
- Use current best practices to teach and develop baseball skills, maintaining athlete safety.
- Consistently report game results to Athletic Director and appropriate media outlets.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Prior high school baseball coaching experience preferred.
- Current CPR/AED certification, or ability to attain.
- Current Sports First Aid Certification, or ability to attain.
- Maine Dept. of Education Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) Authorization, or ability to obtain
