What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Rehab OT position at Mt Ascension Transitional Care of Cascadia?
The Director of Rehabilitation (OT) provides leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that their areas of responsibility have the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures. The Director of Rehabilitation (OT) is also responsible for developing systems to effectively grow therapy services at a facility and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. The primary purpose of the position is the management and administration of all aspects of rehabilitation services for the patients/residents. This position manages all therapists and associated staff and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees.
Education:
§ Bachelors, Master’s Degree and/or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy or an Associate’s Degree as an Occupational Therapist Assistant.
Licenses/Certification:
§ Current occupational therapy license in the state of employment; or,
§ Current OTA certificate in state of employment.
§ MDS certification (RAC-CT) or other advanced certification preferred.
§ Current CPR Certification.
§ Valid driver’s license.
Experience:
§ Minimum of three years of rehabilitation experience required.
§ Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
