Position Overview: Lead feed mill manufacturing and delivery operations while maintaining top-quality and safety standards.

- Team Leadership and Development: Mentor, motivate, and foster teamwork and accountability within the operations team. Provide regular feedback and support to promote individual and team growth.
- Feed Manufacturing Oversight: Oversee the entire feed manufacturing process from raw materials to finished product, ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Grain Inventory Management: Procure, manage, and control grain inventory to meet production demands and maintain strong, cost-effective relationships with suppliers.
- Feed Delivery Coordination: Schedule and oversee efficient feed delivery, optimizing routes and minimizing transportation costs.
- Safety and Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols throughout all operations. Maintain complete and accurate documentation to ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Facility Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient facility, both inside and outside the mill, adhering to all safety and sanitation standards.
Performance Standards: (This job will be done when…)
· Team Harmony & Development: The team collaborates effectively, with each member understanding their role and contributions. Quarterly employee reviews are conducted, providing feedback and direction for growth.
· Timely Feed Production: Feed is manufactured, and orders are completed and ready at least 3 hours before the truck arrives. The feed mixer operates smoothly, with no surprises or last-minute changes.
· Sales Coordination: Sales team understands production capacity and schedules sales accordingly to align with operational capabilities.
· Supplier Relationships: Supplier relationships are positive due to proactive planning, avoiding surprises.
· Accurate Delivery: Feed orders are accurately picked and prepared before drivers arrive, ensuring efficient loading and delivery. Truck routes maximize mileage and efficiency within the community.
· Safety Compliance: Operations adhere to industry safety standards. Staff are trained, with documentation confirming completed training.
· Equipment Maintenance: Equipment is regularly maintained, and maintenance records are kept up-to-date and easily accessible.
· Facility Organization: The mill, main aisle, back aisle, and the exterior west and south sides are daily cleaned and organized.
· Tools & Product Management: Tools are organized, labeled, and stored near their point of use. Products are labeled and stored correctly, ensuring a “place for everything and everything in its place.”
