The Mt Lebanon Extended Day Program provides care before and after school in the Mt Lebanon Elementary Schools. Hours are 6:45 am – 9:00 am and 2:45 pm – 6:30 pm. As a member of our Mt Lebanon Extended Day staff, you will focus on the social/emotional learning of children in grades K-5 and you can expect to:
· Create a safe and FUN (friendly, understanding and nurturing) environment for school age children
- Work in a collaborative and inclusive environment with a team who values open communication, new ideas, continuous quality improvement and mutual respect
- Receive ongoing feedback, mentoring, and professional development.
When you join our team as Center Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise /coach center staff
- Support families
- Ensure DHS regulations are followed at the center.
- Set up and/or delegate daily scheduled activities
- Facilitate STEAM related clubs and activities for a group of up to 12 children
- Cultivate positive relationships with staff, families, school personnel and state licensing representatives.
Qualifications: Skills, Education, Experience
- Have a passion for working with school-age children
- Be enthusiastic and engaging with children
- Enjoy working with a team of other teachers
- Have a Bachelor degree in Education, Social Services, or related field and one year exp. working with children or
- Have a Bachelor degree in any field with 30 credit in related field and 2 years working with children, or
- Have an Associates degree in related field with 3-4 years experience working with children
