Grades 9-12: Intervention Specialist/Full-Time – Academic Year
Mount Notre Dame High School is seeking to hire a full-time, academic year Intervention Specialist as a member of our Academic Support Department. The Intervention Specialist works as part of the Academic Support Team to help identified students learn skills and strategies to compensate and/or overcome academic challenges. The Academic Support Department’s goal is to help students be successful in their high school courses and to prepare them for post-secondary education. This includes (but is not limited to) supporting executive functioning skills, study/test taking skills, and note taking skills.
As an Intervention Specialist, this person will
- Embrace and integrate our Notre Dame heritage, mission and hallmarks
- Build relationships with all members of our MND community
- Provide Intervention services
- Provide best-practice instruction
- Manage records related to the position
- Administer standardized testing with accommodations as approved
- Communicate with a variety of stakeholders
- Serve as MND’s non-public representative at meetings for MND students served by our IDEA Intervention Specialist
- Stay current on trends and research in the field
- Participate in in-service opportunities and required school events
- Additional duties as specified
Experience:

- Demonstrate strong organization, communication and technology skills
- See the goodness of God in the world around us and use that to inspire her/his passion for the position
Education:
- Appropriate bachelor’s degree and licensure for working as an Intervention Specialist in the State of Ohio
- Master’s Degree preferred
