Description
The job of the Systems Administrator is to maintain, upgrade and manage the MPCS network and systems infrastructure. Protect our critical information, systems, and assets, build solutions, implement new software and hardware solutions, provide training, and assist in the development of an overall IT strategy. Partner with internal and external partners to communicate project status, activities, and achievements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in technology, business or a computer related discipline, or equivalent education and experience. Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in using technology in an educational environment and or technical certifications. Demonstrated effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Thorough knowledge of laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates; support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements:
Lifting boxes and other packages not exceeding 20 pounds; Ability to sit for long periods of time; excellent cognitive and hearing abilities.
Requirements
· Ministering to students compassionately and sincerely so they may continue to grow in their faith.
· Accepting the work at Mount Paran Christian School as a personal calling and identify themselves as ministers of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
· Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, cloud/virtual infrastructure, software systems, and end user hardware.
· Troubleshoot issues and outages, upgrade systems with new releases and models
· Perform server administration tasks: group policies, user/group administration, print services, and resource monitoring.
· Monitor datacenter, local area networks (LAN) and other data communication systems health, research event log warnings and errors ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly.
· Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
· Ensure security through security permissions, access controls, backups and firewall rules.
· Research and vet potential new solutions.
· Patch Management and updating change controls and knowledge base systems.
· Assisting in management of special events, as needed.
· Assisting in Open Houses, as needed.
· Complying with conditions as stated in employee contract and handbook.
· Modeling appropriate Christian behavior in speech and actions.
· Other duties as assigned.
