Requirements
The Role
As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will be a part of the Executive Leadership Team, and you will be directing and participating in the credit union’s development, implementation, and achievement of strategic objectives. You will be developing and implementing financial strategies that align with the credit union’s growth objectives. You will also be responsible for mitigation, management and monitoring of interest rate risk (IRR), and provide recommendations for maximizing earnings while properly managing risk tolerances.
Key Responsibilities
· Financial Reporting and Compliance: Maintain reliable records prepared on a timely basis that fully addresses all aspects of the credit unions assets, liability, expense, and reserves.
· Investment Management: oversee the credit union’s investment portfolio and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
· Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting process, including financial forecasts and variance analysis.
· Economic and Financial Analysis: Analyze financial information to forecast business, industry, and economic conditions for use in making investment decisions, and setting dividend and loan rates.
· Compliance and Technology: oversee the two departments to ensure they are aligned with credit union strategies and objectives.
· Team Leadership: Direct the Accounting, Finance, Compliance and IT departments while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
