Job Overview

MTCI Healthcare Services is seeking experienced Phlebotomists to provide support services at the Department of Veterans Affairs, White River Junction, VT, 05009. We offer full-time and part-time positions with flexible shift options across multiple departments. Candidates should be adaptable to schedule adjustments as required by the VA or MTCI.

As a Phlebotomist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality phlebotomy services, specimen collection, and administrative support, contributing to exceptional healthcare for our veterans.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform blood collection and specimen retrieval for laboratory testing.
• Log and manage samples within VA and DoD laboratory information systems.
• Instruct patients on proper specimen collection procedures.
• Ensure safe handling, transport, and storage of specimens.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Provide clerical support, manage supply orders, and maintain accurate records.

Required Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification:
• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency (ASCP, AMT, or AMCA).
• American Heart Association (AHA) CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Patient Service Technician/Phlebotomist within the last 5 years.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in blood collection techniques.
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems (e.g., Vista LIS).
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks related to phlebotomy.
