Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Scrum Master to execute Scrum methodologies throughout the product lifecycle and guide teams in Agile practices. The ideal candidate will support team dynamics, facilitate progress toward goals, and lead various Agile ceremonies while eliminating blockers and promoting high-quality Agile practices. This role involves collaboration with other teams, supporting estimation activities, and providing constructive feedback to enhance team performance. The Scrum Master will also advise government personnel on incremental changes to drive continuous improvement in products, services, and standardized processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute Scrum methodologies effectively across the product lifecycle, ensuring adherence to Agile principles.
- Guide teams in Agile practices, fostering a collaborative and self-organizing environment that promotes team accountability.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, to encourage transparency and innovation.
- Identify and eliminate blockers that impede team progress, facilitating open communication and problem resolution.
- Promote Agile quality practices and support teams in achieving their goals, enhancing overall team performance.
- Coordinate with other teams to align goals and share best practices, fostering collaboration and synergy across projects.
- Support estimation activities (ROM and level of estimate) to provide accurate and timely project forecasting.
- Provide feedback and resources for continuous improvement, assisting team members in overcoming challenges and enhancing skills.
- Advise government personnel on incremental changes to improve products, services, and processes through standardization and Agile practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile role, with a strong understanding of Scrum methodologies.
- Certification in Scrum (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM)) is highly desirable.
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills, with the ability to lead teams toward high performance.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
- Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello) to track team progress and manage workflows.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with other Agile frameworks (e.g., Kanban, Lean) and practices.
- Experience in advising government or public sector organizations on process improvements.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
