Job Title: Scrum Master (Junior)

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Junior Scrum Master to facilitate Agile processes and foster collaboration within our product teams. In this role, you will execute Scrum methodologies to drive product lifecycle success, eliminate blockers, and promote transparency, innovation, and continuous improvement. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align on goals, coordinate efforts, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
Your expertise in Agile practices will enable you to guide teams, facilitate meetings, and provide constructive feedback to enhance team performance while driving collaboration across multiple teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Execute Scrum methodologies to support the product lifecycle and team goals.
- Guide teams in Agile practices, ensuring adherence to team rules and promoting a high-performing environment.
- Lead Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and user demonstrations.
- Facilitate progress by identifying and eliminating blockers while promoting Agile quality practices.
- Collaborate with other teams to coordinate dependencies and ensure smooth workflows.
- Support ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) and level-of-estimate activities for projects.
- Provide teams with feedback and actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Serve as a resource for answering questions and addressing concerns related to Agile processes.
- Advise government personnel on incremental changes to improve products, services, and standardize processes.
Qualifications
Required:
- Experience: 3 years of experience in a Scrum Master or similar role.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies, including Scrum.
- Proven ability to lead Agile ceremonies and foster team collaboration.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to eliminate blockers.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an additional 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Clearance: Active TS Clearance required.
Preferred:
- Experience working with government or mission-critical teams.
- Familiarity with Agile tools and technologies, such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with a focus on transparency and innovation.
