As our Personal Lines Account Manager, you will provide essential support to the Personal Lines Department by performing the following essential duties. This position is at Home Loan Insurance office, a division of Mountain West Insurance & Financial Services.

Performance Expectations / Responsibilities :

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all carrier and agency change procedures, as well as industry specifics.
  • Regularly review daily, weekly, and monthly reports provided by the department manager related to data maintenance in the Agency Management System.
  • Effectively manage follow-ups generated in the Agency Management System.
  • Cultivate and sustain quality relationships with carriers and coworkers.
  • Ensure accurate documentation is maintained in the Agency Management System.
  • Adhere to agency procedures and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Attend mandatory agency meetings and external functions, seminars, and conferences.
  • Acquire the required insurance license and complete necessary continuing education to maintain license eligibility.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with coworkers and management.
  • Document the processing of policy changes, cancellations, and claim payments.
  • Review the expiration report for the department to address any missed or inactive policies and client accounts.
  • Perform additional functions as assigned by management.

  • Acquire the necessary insurance license as mandated by the Colorado State Department of Insurance.

  • Education / Training Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficiency in utilizing a desktop or laptop computer, calculator, agency management system, and all Microsoft products, including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook, is essential.
  • Must maintain an insurance license as mandated by the Colorado State Department of Insurance and Mountain West Insurance & Financial Services, LLC
  • Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience in insurance sales and insurance customer service
  • Prior experience in general sales and general customer service
  • Work Environment / Physical Demands

  • Extended periods of sitting at a desk while using a computer and other office equipment.
  • Repetitive motion tasks, such as typing, data entry, and phone use.
  • Occasional lifting of files or other materials, typically weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to move freely around the office space to collaborate with colleagues or access office resources.
  • Visual acuity to read documents, screens, and fine print on documents.
  • Manual dexterity to operate office equipment and handle paperwork efficiently.
  • Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail in a sometimes fast paced and multitasking environment.
  • The office environment typically has a moderate noise level consistent with a professional office setting.
  • Some travel may be required for this position, primarily for attending training sessions, conferences, or meetings with clients or stakeholders. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be necessary for travel to off-site locations.
