Position Summary
The mechanical engineer / CNC programmer is responsible for various aspects of mechanical engineering within the manufacturing engineering team. This includes fixture and tooling design, drawing review, general mechanical design and full CNC programming for multiple CNC machines using MasterCAM.

Position Summary
The mechanical engineer / CNC programmer is responsible for various aspects of mechanical engineering within the manufacturing engineering team. This includes fixture and tooling design, drawing review, general mechanical design and full CNC programming for multiple CNC machines using MasterCAM.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Program using CAD/CAM software (MasterCAM and Solidworks)
- Ability to review drawings and Solid Models to ensure manufacturability
- Advanced knowledge of GD&T
- Experience using precision measuring equipment to ensure compliance to specifications
- Interpret DoD / Aerospace drawings for prototyping, tools, and fixtures
- Works closely with the CNC machinists to enjoy piece parts are being machined correctly
- Work with internal drafting team to update best practices as required
- Improve production processes through design and development of new production tools and fixtures
- Participates in process and product improvement teams.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by adhering to 5S and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) policies
- Firm understanding of MasterCAM and general machining concepts.
- Firm understanding of Solidworks and GD&T
- Familiar with Mechanical engineering concepts
- Understanding of machining of various materials (aluminum, stainless steel)
- Comfortable applying advance mathematical concepts
- Able to communicate effectively with others and understand verbal and written instructions
- Self-motivated
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Mechanical Engineering degree from accredited school or 2-year degree with 10 years of experience
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
- Work in an office environment.
- Able to safely work in a machine shop environment following all safety protocols
- Able to work on ITAR data without a license
